Yearly C3 Events

Below is a list of our annual school events.

Check the calendar for all upcoming C3 related events here.

September

Pancake Breakfast

This is an all school event held one morning prior to school on the playground. PTSA hires a mobile pancake truck who prepares the pancakes on school grounds. This is a great way to hang out with teachers, parents and friends before beginning a day of school.

October

F3 (Fall Fitness Fun)

This is C3's all school version of a fun run with an emphasis on fun! Students will help raise money by running laps on the field with supporters cheering them on! Vendors are brought in to provide encouragement and information in the areas of education, sports, and fitness. Tickets are sold and a live drawing held for a variety of prizes. Food and beverages are served to wrap up the afternoon/evening.

box tops contest

Classes and/or students engage in a contest to see who can bring in the most dimes or cut box tops (grocery receipt scans count too!) to help win a prize. This could be a teacher surprise, a classroom prize or individual prizes as contest rules vary to keep this fun and engaging.

square 1 arts

Students create masterpieces on a piece of paper that are uploaded to the Square 1 Arts website. These uploads can be turned into precious gifts from the heart that parents and other loved ones can purchase. This is a great opportunity for some really special holiday gifts.

november

book fair

Each year, the week before Thanksgiving break our C3 book fair is held in person. Students have the opportunity to walk through beforehand and make their wish lists. Teachers also choose books they would love to have in their classroom that families can donate. This activity coincides with Grandpeople's Day where many grandparents and other special people come to browse and shop for their loved ones to encourage the joy of reading.

Bookmark Contest

Each year in conjunction with the book fair, students design their own bookmarks. Winners are selected from each grade and receive a free book from the book fair. All bookmarks are laminated and returned to the student to take home. Winning book marks are sold during book fair week and Grandpeople's Day.

Grandpeople's Day

This is an annual tradition for C3 where we take the day before Thanksgiving break to gather with grandparents and other special people in each of the student's lives. Usually this involves a large gathering to welcome everyone, visiting their student in their classroom and attending the book fair. This is a very special day at C3 with many loved ones being able to experience a morning at school with their loved one.

December

Holiday PTSA Meeting

While PTSA meetings are held monthly, this is a very special meeting. We usually gather with some fun holiday goodies and make holiday cards for the teachers and staff. It is a great time to get together and plan how to make the season special.

Holiday giving for c3 staff and teachers

Every year we collect money that is turned into a monetary gift for all the C3 staff and teachers. This monetary gift is put into one of our handmade cards and given to them to be used on anything they wish. Many wet eyes are had as they experience the depth of gratitude from our C3 community.

February

C3 has a heart

KCT Council led projects and events during February each year including card creation/sales to benefit a community-based nonprofit organization serving children.

May

Bookies Summer Reading Fair

Families can purchase books for summer from this local bookstore and purchase gift cards and gifts to show appreciation to their teachers for the end of the year.

Teacher Appreciation Week

This is a week long celebration of staff and teachers with planned events each day.
